Outdoor Recreation Equipment Rental and Loan: Located across the street from motor pool on Drivers Rd. Sheppard AFB, 10 miles south of the Oklahoma border within the city limits of Wichita Falls, Texas. The main mission is to provide outdoor equipment to support base functions, squadron functions and personal use--to provide safe outdoor recreation programs, trips, and information on the local area. The main facility offers rental equipment, local information, RV rental lots, swimming pool passes, outdoor trips, and schedules for park use.

Bunker Hill Pool - 676-4161 Main

MAIN POOL: (Bldg 470): Located next to the Solid Rock Café and in front of the parade grounds. Its main missions are to provide safe recreation swimming during hot summer weather, provide physical conditioning programs such as lap swimming and water aerobics and to teach swimming lessons.
BUNKERHILL POOL: (Bldg 1123): Located next to the enlisted club and behind the main shopette on Skaggs Dr. Its main mission is to provide families with safe recreational swimming and water park slides during the hot summer months. This pool can also be used for pool parties from 8 p.m. - midnight each day except on Wednesdays.
RV STORAGE LOT: Located near the 882 training group between Missile Rd and 17th Ave. This storage lot can provide parking for 183 recreational vehicles. Lot sizes vary from 20 feet to 30 feet in length. There are usually 1-10 open slots in the 20’ lots at any given time. Lot is protected with a six-foot metal fence.
SKEET/TRAP RANGE Operates Thurs 4:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.,
Sat and Sun 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
SKEET RANGE: (the Shootin’ Shack): Located off of 19 th Ave near the 80 th FTW. The skeet Range main mission is to provide a safe and enjoyable manner in which to use shotguns by providing two skeet ranges, one trap range and a five stand shooting range. All range attendants will instruct as needed.

Hospital Park and Playground: Located near the Sheppard AFB hospital, between 9 th Ave and G. V. Hart Ave. The main mission of this facility is to provide a picnic location for squadron functions and to provide safe playground equipment for the families at Sheppard AFB.
Golf Course/Chapel Park and Playground: Located between the golf course and Chapel 1 off of 1 st Ave. The main mission of this facility is to provide a picnic location for squadron functions and to provide safe playground equipment for the families at Sheppard AFB.

Sheppard has an off-base recreation site at the Lake Texoma annex. Here you will find a marina, RV and tent camping, rental cabins and lodging and a host of outdoor recreation activities.
