Equipment Rental:
The Equipment Rental Center is located in building 247, on 140 th Drive. The center is open Monday through Friday from
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Large items such as boats and campers can be reserved and require a reservation deposit. Smaller items are generally loaned or rented on a first come first serve basis. Some of the more unique rental items include a cement mixer, vehicle engine hoist, dunk tanks, and portable stages. Base Pools:
There are two outdoor swimming pools, both of which are operated seasonally, usually April though October. One pool, Oasis, is located in building 267 on Bong St. and is open seven days a week providing programs such as water aerobics, swim lessons, lap swim, youth swim team, and unit fitness programs. The second pool, Silver Wings is located in building 708, on Phantom St adjacent to the Community Center. This pool is open 7 days a week and features three water slides and a baby pool. Programs at the Silver Wings pool include open swim and special events. The phone numbers are as follows:

Vehicle Storage:
The vehicle storage lot is located off base at the North East Corner of El Mirage Rd and Glendale Ave, approximately two miles from the base. The lot features nearly 400 lots of various sizes up to 12’ x 40’. Prices range from $10.00 to $25.00 per month. Access to the lot is gained through the use of magnetic key cards seven days a week between the hours of
4 a.m. and 10 p.m. Reservations for use of the lot can be made by calling 623-856-9335.
FamCamp:
Luke Outdoor Recreation operates two FAMCAMPS. One, located at Fort Tuthill is open during the summer season, April - October (weather permitting) and is ideal for weekend getaways or extended vacations. Call 1-800-552-6268 or visit www.forttuthill.com for reservations and information. The second location is the Gila Bend Auxiliary Airfield located 80 miles Southwest of Luke AFB, just south of Gila Bend, Arizona on State Route 85. The facility features 39 sites with water, electric and sewer connection. The FAMCAMP is managed by the contractor responsible for operations at Gila Bend AFAF. Current rate is $7.00 per night, and the maximum length of stay is 30 days, however, if space is available guests may extend up to 180 days. It should be noted that services typically available at Air Force installations such as Base Exchange, Commissary, and medical care, are NOT available at Gila Bend. The closest such facilities are located at Luke AFB. Minimal services are available in the community of Gila Bend, AZ. Laundry facilities are available in the Gila Bend lodging office, building 4300. Reservations are not necessary for the FAMCAMP Gila Bend. FAMCAMP space assignments are made on a first come, first served basis. For additional information, call 623-856-5290.
Near Flagstaff and Ft. Tuthill, you can visit Lake Powell, only 140 miles away, and rent a houseboat. For other information about Lake Powell. Closer to Flagstaff, only 16 miles away, you can also visit the Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument. When winter arrives visit the ski areas a few miles from Flagstaff.
While visiting at Gila Bend see the Petroglyphs or visit Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.
